Course Eligibility

Fully Funded Eligibility Criteria (Unemployed/ Self Employed Learners)

Learners need to be aged 19 - 65 with learners turning 19 before the 31st August 2024.

Learners must be unemployed or self employed 

Can be receiving benefits or not

Must hold a valid CSCS card

Must not have completed these qualifications previously and must not be in any form of funded education at the moment.

A learners Maths and English working level must be at least an Entry Level 3.

Must have access to the correct identification to access funding. An in date passport, driving license or birth certificate.

Learners must have been resident within the UK for a minimum of 3 years. We can accept Asylum seekers if the learner has the correct Home Office Identification and access to Government Funds.

Learners do not require a driving license 

 

Funding Rules For Employed Learners

If the learner is employed by a SME (less than 250 employees) – co-funded, the Government (or funder) will contribute 90% of the total course fees, the employer is required to contribute 10% of the total cost

If the learner is employed by an organisation (public / private sector) which employs greater than 250 employees – co-funded, the Government (or funder) will contribute 70% of the total course fees, the employer us required to contribute 30% of the total cost

Course Description

Are you a holder of a green CSCS card and seeking to enhance your employment opportunities? We are presenting an exciting opportunity to gain an industry recognised accreditation and plant certifications through a Skills Bootcamp in Civil Engineering and Groundworks with Interviews on completion.
Upon successful completion of the classroom session, you will continue your learning and skills development at a local construction plant training centre to gain your forward tipping dumper or ride on roller licence and plant machinery marshal accreditation.

  • Principles of Stormwater and Drainage
  • Abrasive Wheels and Use of Power Tools
  • Detection of Buried Services

Plant Training 

  • Subject to 5 full days attendance on classroom elements of the course.
  • 4 days NPORS Training at a local Plant Training Centre
  • Gain Forward Tipping Dumper or Ride on Roller Ticket
  • Gain Plant Machinery Marshal category 

Job Interviews will be offered on successful completion of the course!

Course Delivery Dates:

Induction: TBC

Week 1: Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th and Friday 31st January (3 days)

Week 2: Thursday 6th February and Friday 7th February (2 days)

100% attendance is required throughout the course.

On completion of the 5 day classroom training you will be booked to attend your Plant training (in groups of 3) at the following location: BS39 4DE
