  • Must be unemployed or on a low income (less than £25,000)
  • You can still apply even if you are not receiving a benefit
  • A UK resident for 3 years or more
  • Aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2024
  • Must not be in any other form of education or training course 
  • Must have access to either a Laptop/Tablet or PC
  • Must have internet access
  • Must not already hold the same qualification 
  • The programme is NOT available in the following regions: Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool, West and South Yorkshire, North of Tyne, Tees Valley, Cambridge and Peterborough, Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, The Black Country & Coventry.

Course Description

This is a remote course. You must have access to a laptop or computer.

You can work on this course at your own pace, as long as the course is completed within the 1 month time frame given.

Please ignore the course start date, this course has a rolling start which means as soon as you have completed your enrolment steps, you will be started!

Who is it suitable for? 

This qualification is aimed at learners who are new to the customer service sector and wish to improve their knowledge of this area resulting in the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification.  The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding in customer service for learners who deal, or intend to deal, with customers on a daily basis as part of their job role and is applicable to a variety of work environments.

This course will be issued to you via email, you can simply login and out of this course whenever you like and complete at your own pace!

Interior Design Diploma Units:

  • What an interior designer does, the history of interior design as a profession, the most popular manual and digital tools used to complete projects, and the typical routes people follow when building their career as a designer.
  • How to plan a project, and work with clients and other contractors to ensure that a client brief is filled.
  • Important issues that will arise when planning and decorating specific types of space, including kitchens, offices, bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms, and how to address them.
  • An overview of colour psychology, colour terminology and how interior designers use colour to enhance the appearance of a space.
  • The importance of selecting appropriate surfaces, materials and textures when deciding on a style and aesthetic, including floor and wall coverings.
  • The different ways in which lighting can alter the mood and appearance of a space, and how to select the right kind of illumination for any room.
  • How to choose furniture for any space, how to draw inspiration from the most popular kinds of style used in interior design, and how to customise furniture so that it fits your client’s vision.
  • How to make the most of textiles and accessories to add personality to any project.
  • What is meant by the term “green design”, and how you can make sure that your design practice is ecologically and ethically sound.
  • The steps you will need to take when starting your own business.

You will complete your Customer Service course first (4 weeks to complete). Once this is completed, we will issue your Interior Design course. The Interior Design course will be emailed to you, and again, you can start and complete in your own time!
