Course Eligibility

Must be aged 19 or over as of 31st August 2024
Employed, self-employed, recently unemployed, or returning to work after a break
Have lived in England for at least the last three consecutive years
Have the right to work in the UK
Learners can only take part in one Skills Bootcamp per funding year (1st April – 31st March) and must not be enrolled on more than one at a time
Learners must live within one of the following locations: Lincolnshire, Peterborough/Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, or Nottinghamshire

Course Description

This online bootcamp course provides a concentrated curriculum covering core aspects of early childhood education, including child development, teaching techniques, and safeguarding practices.

The course is designed to help learners progress towards a Level 3 qualification and provides a fast track to an Early Years Educator apprenticeship .

This course is open to residents in the following areas only: Lincolnshire, Peterborough/Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Nottinghamshire.

Learners will also receive a fully funded DBS check and gain recognised certificates in:

  • Safeguarding
  • Paediatric First Aid

Plus, the programme covers key elements mapped to the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship, including:

  • The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Child development
  • Theories and approaches to how children learn and develop
  • Promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Early Years
  • The importance of CPD in Early Years
  • Legal requirements for Health and Safety

This is an online course and therefore, learners must have access to the internet, with ideally a laptop or desktop computer to complete the course (some tablets will suffice, however, a mobile phone would not be compatible for the course material).
