Course Eligibility

Candidates need to be 19 or older as of 31st August 2024
Must be unemployed or earning less than £25,000 per year
If employed, on less than £25,000, must be able to commit to course timings
If unemployed, must be in receipt of benefits
Not in education Right to live and work in UK
Must have a valid form of ID
Must not be in any other form of education
Must complete a maths and English assessment prior to enrolment gaining a minimum of entry 2
Must be a resident of the SYMCA region (one of these areas - Sheffield/ Barnsley/ Rotherham/ Doncaster Central)
Must be able to travel to Sheffield for the full course duration if completing in person
Must have access to a device (laptop, tablet or PC) if completing online, a smart phone will not suffice.

Course Description

This is a 5 day CSCS Construction course for residents of SYMCA (South Yorkshire – Sheffield/ Barnsley/ Rotherham/ Doncaster Central).

You can choose to complete the course online or in person at our Sheffield site!

Qualifications:

Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit
Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment
Award in Personal Wellbeing
Award in Asbestos Awareness
Portland Training Company CSCS Test and Card funded upon completion

Times: 9:00am – 4pm

Start Date: Monday 25th November 2024

End Date: Friday 29th November 2024

Location: Online, or in person at our Sheffield site S4 postcode.
