  • Must be able to travel to Nottingham
  • Must not hold the same qualifications

Course Description

This is a 4 week course for residents who live in Nottinghamshire & surrounding areas and can travel to Nottingham.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity to gain an industry recognised accreditation and plant certifications through a Skills Bootcamp in Civil Engineering and Groundworks.

 
If you do not already hold a CSCS card, don’t worry, please get in touch and we can arrange this for you!

Course Overview:

  • This course is fully funded by the Department for Education and therefore free of charge (subject to eligibility)
  • To complete the plant training element, as a private individual, it would cost in the region of £1000.

Week One and Two:

  • Environmental Impact & Carbon Footprint
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Principles of Civil Engineering
  • Asbestos Awareness and Risk Avoidance
  • Waste Management in Construction
  • Hand Arm Vibration

Week Three:

  • Concrete Placing and Finishing
  • Principles of Stormwater and Drainage
  • Abrasive Wheels and Use of Power Tools
  • Detection of Buried Services

Week Four:

  • Subject to 5 full days attendance on classroom elements of the course.
  • 4 days NPORS Training at a local Plant Training Centre
  • Gain Forward Tipping Dumper/Ride on Roller Ticket
  • Gain Plant Machinery Marshall category as well

100% attendance is required throughout the course.

Job Interviews will be offered on successful completion of the course!

This course will run from the 14th October 2024, then again every fortnight.
