Burnley – Health & Social Care – Level 2

This qualification is tailored and designed to meet the needs of those who are looking to establish a career in the Social Care sector.

If you want a career where you can both progress and get an enormous sense of personal achievement from knowing you are helping other people – then perhaps, Health and Social Care is for you.

You will study one day a week on Tuesdays from the 20th February, for a duration of 7 weeks. 

Successful completion will gain you the following qualifications:

• TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Health & Social Care
• Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills

Units Covered:

• Principles of personal development in adult social care settings.
• Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care settings.
• Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care.
• Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings.
• Understand the role o the social care worker.
• Understand person-centred approaches in adult and social care settings.
• Understand health and safety in social care settings.
• Understand how to handle information in social care settings.
