About the course

Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities may need trained security staff qualified as door supervisors who hold an SIA licence.

A level 2 award for door supervisors in the private security industry qualification is required by law for an individual to apply for a SIA licence to work as a door supervisor.

  • surveillance techniques
  • producing evidential documentation
  • Customer Service - THIS SECTION OF THE COURSE WILL BE COMPETED REMOTELY


Any business that uses CCTV to monitor a public space or members of the public will need trained security staff qualified as a CCTV operator and who hold a SIA licence.

A level 2 award for CCTV operators in the private security industry qualification is required by law for an individual to apply for a SIA licence to work as a CCTV operator.

Qualifications Gained:

  • Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry
  • Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) in the Private Security Industry
  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid
  • Level 1 award in customer service and L1 award in work skills


How the course works:

You will learn from home for 3 weeks covering the following units:

·        Level 1 award in customer service and L1 award in work skills

·        Level 1 Certificate in Employability

·        Level 1 Certificate in Personal Social Development

Upon completion of these units, you will be sent to a SIA test centre to compete the security section of the course.

Start Date: Monday 31st January 2022

End Date: Friday 25th February 2022

The process for enrolment is the following:

  • 5 minute online form with Skills Pad. Can be done online and remote
  • We require passport
  • Driving License
  • Last 3 Months Bank Statement


Eligibility:

19 Years and above

On low income  or receiving a Government benefit (The justification of low income under this programme is if someone earns £2000 a month but at the end of the month they are left with £100 after expense then this is     classed as low income)

Must be a UK resident for the last 3+ years

Must live in the Luton area
