About the course

The Skills Company are proud to offer this fantastic trade course FREE for unemployed people looking to up skill. Whether you are looking to be employed or self employed this level 2 Plastering training an qualification is a great way to start.

Delivered at the Skills Companies state of the art training centre in Trafford park, you will learn all the skills you need to become a proficient plasterer.

The training is held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week and runs for 17 weeks.

It covers the following skills: 

  1. Health, safety and welfare in construction
  2. Principles of building construction, information and Communication
  3. Apply plastering materials to interiors
  4. Fix dry lining and plasterboards to interiors
  5. Laying sand and cement screeds
  6. Applying plastering materials to external backgrounds
  7.  Produce reverse moulds for fibrous work
  8.  Casting and fixing fibrous plasterwork

This is a C-Skills qualification

The training is easily accessible using public transport via numerous bus routes, all bus stops are within a 2 to 20 minute walk of the venue:

  • Accessible from any area of Greater Manchester easily via two buses

The course will be given on a first come first serve basis.  Additional courses will be ongoing throughout the year. After initial assessment you will be invited in to do a full induction and to start the course, normally within a week.
