  • Must have a National Insurance Number & Valid ID
  • Unemployed
  • Must have access to a Laptop or a PC (mobile phones & tablets are not compatible for this course material)
  • Cannot be a student Or completed the same qualifications already
  • Must reside in North East Combined Authority

Course Description

This online Coding and Programming Digital Course Bundle, is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the following:

  • Understand the Principles of Coding: In this unit learners will gain knowledge of coding languages and the software development lifecycle. Learners will also learn about the job roles, functions and key skills requirements of a coding professional.
  • Understand terminology used in Coding: In this unit, the learner will understand basic computer terminology in relation to coding. You will also learn about coding acronyms, terminology and the key principles of writing code.
  • Coding Design Principles: In this unit you will gain knowledge of different coding types and the advantages and disadvantages of their use. Learners will also understand the use of pure functions.
  • Processes and Practice of Coding: In this unit Learners will understand best practice in coding, methods of testing used and developer processes.
  • Understand the Importance of communication and Project Management in Coding: In this unit, learners will understand the importance of communication for those working in a coding environment. You will also learn about project management principles and Agile developments.

On successful completion, you will achieve:

Level 2 Award in Computer Programming
Level 2 Award in Digital & IT Skills

This course runs over 20 days, during the week and learners will study online with guidance from a tutor.

Applicants for the course must reside in North East Combined Authority.
