This is a 4 weeks Carpentry course for residents who live in Derby.
To support you, we will pay £40 per week for travel expenses, provide you with refreshments throughout the course and PPE, which is yours to keep!
On the course you will:
Explore – Carpentry & joinery, building methods and construction technologies.
Health, Safety & Welfare
Communication and problem solving in the workplace, and skills for employment.
Carry Out – Setting and marking out for routine bench joinery products and preparation/use of carpentry and joinery power tools.
Understand – Carbon awareness and energy management.
Qualifications Gained:
Award in construction and building crafts
Award in personal development for employment
Understanding carbon awareness
Course Delivery:
Times: 9:30am – 16:30pm
Monday – Friday
Job opportunities and interviews arranged with local companies where possible.
